Arvidsjaur Airport is located 11 km by road from Arvidsjaur center, approximately 10 minutes by car. The airport was established in 1990 and is owned by Arvidsjaur Airport AB.

Job Description

We are looking for someone who enjoys teamwork and can work according to established routines, while also being flexible when circumstances change. Responsibilities

Your role will involve working as an airport firefighter, ramp, with field maintenance and within security. Other tasks at the airport may also arise based on your qualifications. You will work closely with airlines, crews, and passengers in daily operations, handling everything from aircraft, luggage, runways to hangars and vehicles. In winter, snow removal is a significant part of the job, and during the summer months, maintenance of machinery and facilities is required. The tasks also vary throughout the day and between seasons.

If interested, we can, by agreement, show you what the job entails on-site with us. The work is relatively demanding, so good physical fitness is required. You should have an interest in handling and driving heavy vehicles. The job involves shift work and weekend duties.

Basic Requirements:

• A medical examination for airport firefighters must be completed with a satisfactory result.
• Good knowledge of spoken and written Swedish and English.
• Normal color vision.
• A security clearance must be completed with a satisfactory result from the Police Authority.
• Driving license class C

Desirable Qualifications:

• Professional competence in another technical field such as workshop, carpentry, plumbing, electrical/telecommunications, or IT, as well as certification for wheel loaders and forklifts.

Other:

Special training and qualifications are required for all tasks at an airport. These are provided by the airport on-site and can be in both Swedish and English. Furthermore, theoretical and practical training/continuing education occurs continuously throughout your employment with us.

The recruitment process includes a medical health check, assessment of English, and security clearance. The position is permanent, full-time with shift work. Monthly salary, collective agreement according to BÖK Airport. Start date according to agreement. A probationary period may apply.
