About the position

As an occupational therapist, you will be part of a team where you contribute your expertise to meet the patient's needs for assessment and treatment within Karolinska's highly specialized healthcare assignments. Your efforts are an important part of the care flow within our highly specialized assignments. Examples of tasks include mapping of ADL ability, assessment of cognitive function, treatment interventions, provision of assistive devices, and counseling for patients and relatives. The tasks also include student supervision and development of care and workflows based on evidence and the patient's needs. Within the organization, you will meet engaged and knowledgeable colleagues and have the opportunity to work in a stimulating work environment.

The position is a full-time temporary position for approximately nine months.

We are looking for someone who

  • has the courage to act and confidence in your professional ability to contribute your expertise to the team and meet the patient's needs
  • takes initiative, drives development, and achieves results by working with assessment, treatment, and provision of assistive devices
  • works well with others, is attentive and flexible in collaboration with colleagues, patients, and relatives
  • listens, communicates, and solves problems constructively and contributes to the development of care and workflows based on evidence and the patient's needs.

Great importance is placed on personal suitability.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Licensed occupational therapist with permission to practice within Swedish healthcare

Desirable:

  • Experience in acute care, inpatient care, and/or outpatient care
  • Experience working with children
  • Master's degree and/or specialist competence.
