Support Assistants Needed at Backenvägen 107

Backenvägen 107 is a special accommodation according to LSS for young adults with autism, among other conditions.

The facility has six accommodation places.

The operation is characterized by an environment where individuals are met with respect and professionalism, and where everyone is given the opportunity to develop based on their individual circumstances. We offer you the chance to enhance your professional skills through work in various operations within the field, working varied hours. You will be part of a successful and driven team that collaborates with different professions and values development while focusing on the individual's independence.

We are now looking for two support assistants: one permanent position starting on 2026-04-01 and a temporary position from 2026-04-01 to 2027-05-31.

Your Responsibilities

You will support individuals with mental disabilities in their daily lives. You will provide individual, social, and practical support to enable and utilize the person's own abilities, thereby creating conditions for independence.

The work requires planning and the ability to be pedagogical and solution-focused as unexpected situations may arise. In daily life, you will work a lot on motivating and encouraging the residents. At the workplace, we use low-arousal approaches.

Co-planning occurs between our operations within Disability Care.

About You

You are calm and secure, have good self-awareness, and use low-arousal approaches. You work in a structured and professional manner in collaboration with your team, supervisor, and other networks. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability and the ability to work in a group.

To communicate with users, relatives, and colleagues, write and access care documentation, and obtain medication delegation, you need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.

Requirements

• Care and Nursing Program, Social Work Program, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer
• Experience working within LSS

Meritorious

• Experience working with sign language as an alternative and augmentative communication (TAKK)
• Experience working with individuals with autism.
