Riksbyggen is looking for Property Caretakers in Karlskoga for the 2026 season

We are now seeking employees who want to work with us in Karlskoga, where we take care of most things for our customers. The seasonal employment includes, among other things, cleaning services where we clean our customers' stairwells, laundry rooms, basements, and attics. For outdoor maintenance, we mow our customers' lawns and trim, we trim hedges and weed the flower beds. We plant spring and summer flowers, and prune bushes and trees. Minor property repairs occur through requests from our fault reporting and directly from our customers.

As a seasonal property caretaker at Riksbyggen, you will be one of those who work closest to the customer.

You will be responsible for both indoor and outdoor maintenance for our customers and become part of a team that manages daily operations. We prefer that you have experience in cleaning services as it is a significant part of the assignment. It is particularly advantageous if you have previously worked with outdoor maintenance in all its aspects.

You work in a group but also independently; you plan your days together and take your own initiatives – you have great freedom under responsibility. Regardless of the weather, you work outdoors, and you will be physically active all day, which requires a good physical foundation.

Time reporting and other administrative tasks are performed via computer and mobile, which requires good basic knowledge and interest in this.

We are looking for someone who is meticulous, responsible, and engaged. You enjoy planning your own time, are flexible, and solution-oriented.

Since you work in a group, it is very important that you enjoy collaborating, are unpretentious, and contribute to a good atmosphere in the team. It is also important that you have the ability to create comfort and trust in your contact with the residents of the housing associations. You are practically oriented and enjoy being active.

We would like you to have good knowledge in both cleaning services and outdoor maintenance, as this is the largest part of the assignment.

Regarding outdoor maintenance, we prefer that you already have knowledge of hedge trimming. We wish for knowledge regarding plant identification and pruning of trees and bushes. Experience with handling lawn mowing with riding mowers and maintaining them is advantageous. Knowledge of trimmers and brush cutters is advantageous. Knowledge of planting is advantageous. Weeding is a significant part of the work, which makes plant knowledge important so the right plants are removed. Maintenance of several robotic lawn mowers at our customers' locations is included.

We See That You Have:

  • Previous experience in professional cleaning services is advantageous.
  • Education in property management and/or several years of work in garden maintenance and with machines and powered garden tools is desirable.
  • A driver's license for manual transmission is a requirement.
  • You have experience in administrative work and have a good ability to express yourself in Swedish both verbally and in writing.
  • It is advantageous if you have education/experience in landscaping, brush cutter and/or chainsaw certification.
  • Machine care with good knowledge of how to maintain the machines is advantageous.
  • It is also advantageous if you have knowledge from minor repairs within property management both outdoor and indoor.

The position is a seasonal employment, based in Karlskoga, but work in other locations within the market area may occur. Riksbyggen strives for a balanced gender distribution and sees diversity as a strength.
