Assignment Description:

We are looking for a Senior AD/ADAS Sensor Development Consultant to join our team in Lund.

This role focuses on developing next-generation sensor and safety solutions for autonomous driving and advanced driver assistance systems (AD/ADAS). The position is ideal for someone with deep expertise in sensor systems and broad technical competence across hardware and software, capable of leading development from concept to finished product.

What you will work on:

  • Lead and drive the development of sensor systems and advanced AD/ADAS solutions
  • Take ownership of system design and architecture across hardware, software, optics, electronics, and mechanics
  • Develop concepts from idea through modeling/simulation and Proof-of-Concept to integration and verification
  • Define and manage end-to-end sensor requirements (e.g., range, resolution, latency, safety)
  • Develop and review hardware designs, including schematics, layouts, EMC/EMI considerations, and prototype testing
  • Coordinate across technical disciplines to ensure smooth interfaces and overall system performance
  • Build and test prototypes and evaluate technical solutions for feasibility and performance
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including hardware, software, electronics, optics, and embedded development

What you bring:

  • 10+ years of experience in advanced AD/ADAS or automotive sensor system development
  • Strong systems engineering skills with the ability to break down requirements and take full ownership of system architecture
  • Deep expertise in electronics and hardware, with understanding of embedded software and firmware
  • Proven experience in sensor integration (e.g., LiDAR, cameras, optical systems)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in optical design, laser development, embedded programming (C/C++/Rust), electronics design, or prototyping is considered a plus
  • Ability to work independently and drive technical solutions from concept to implementation
  • Fluency in Swedish and English is preferred
