Cemetery Worker Seasonal

Our, and your, focus is to showcase well-maintained cemeteries and provide a professional reception to our visitors.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintenance of green areas and graves in cemeteries, such as mowing lawns, planting flowers, and clearing gravel paths.
• Grounds maintenance around the parish's other properties.
• Internal duties during services, funerals, baptisms, and weddings may occur.
• Cleaning services

This includes operating various types of machinery, such as lawn mowers. The work may involve heavy lifting and demanding physical labor, so it is important that you are in good physical condition. You have good teamwork skills and contribute to a pleasant atmosphere and your competence at the workplace. We expect you to act independently and solve tasks based on instructions and guidance.

As you will be an important point of contact for cemetery visitors and partially work from written instructions, good knowledge of Swedish – both spoken and written – is a prerequisite. You are responsible, cooperative, and meticulous.

Qualifications

• Driver's license B and access to your own car.
• Good knowledge of Swedish, spoken and written.
• Good physical condition.
• Good social skills, teamwork ability, and service-oriented.

Meritorious

• Experience in similar work.
• Familiarity with machinery for park and garden maintenance.

Conditions

• Fixed-term seasonal employment (May 5 - October 3)
• Weekend work is included and irregular working hours may occur.
