Aluminum Welder Wanted at Swede Ship Marine

Are you a star at aluminum welding with MIG and TIG? Do you also have licenses waiting to be used? Then this might be the job for you! We are looking for a skilled aluminum welder who wants to take responsibility for welding and assembling ship hulls, both in new constructions and repairs.

Swede Ship Marine is a leading player in Swedish shipbuilding with roots dating back to 1894. At our yard in Djupvik, we build and repair special vessels in aluminum and composite for clients such as the Swedish Sea Rescue Society, the Coast Guard, and the Navy.

As an aluminum welder with us, you will truly get to use both your hands and your brain. Your job is to make everything fit together, from small details to entire ship hulls, and your day will never be boring. Sometimes the surfaces are easy to reach, other times you will have to crawl into tight spaces to get the job done – but you see that as an extra challenge, right?

You will, among other things:

  • Weld aluminum with MIG and TIG based on drawings, photo documentation, and your own expertise.
  • Assemble details and components on ship hulls during both new constructions and repairs.
  • Work independently and come up with creative solutions when challenges arise.
  • Keep multiple projects in the air at the same time without losing quality or safety.

Our Offer

At Swede Ship Marine, you get to use your experience and creativity in your daily work. You take responsibility for important moments in production and get to help find smart solutions when new challenges arise.

We offer exciting assignments for clients such as the Swedish Sea Rescue Society, the Coast Guard, and the Navy, and the opportunity to develop your skills in an environment that values quality, precision, and innovation.

To apply for the position, you need to be a skilled aluminum welder with experience in both MIG and TIG, be able to speak Swedish and English, and have a B driver's license. If you also have valid welding licenses, that’s a plus!

We are looking for someone who is meticulous, self-driven, and solution-oriented. You thrive on challenges, think creatively, and have no problem occasionally crawling into tight spaces. Managing multiple projects at the same time is seen as an exciting part of the job, and you enjoy finding smart and innovative solutions when needed.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact Martina Lundqvist, our HR manager, at 0304-679503 or [email protected]. Apply by clicking on "apply now" and fill out the form where you will answer selection questions relevant to the position. If you also want to attach your CV, that’s fine, but it’s not a must. We look forward to your application!
