Care Assistants Wanted at Kaptensgården

Kaptensgården is a nursing home with 50 apartments located centrally in Hässleholm, about 400 m from the central station. Here, elderly individuals with dementia diagnoses or somatic illnesses reside. The facility is Star Rated, which means we work person-centered to provide good care and support.

What we offer you!

We are looking for four care assistants on temporary contracts for our special accommodation, Kaptensgården! Three temporary positions at 75% during day, evening, and weekend shifts, as well as a resource position at 75% within the organization. There is a possibility of extension for all temporary positions.

As a care assistant in a special accommodation, you work together with your colleagues to provide care tailored to the individual. We support our care recipients with personal care, daily rehabilitation, and social activation to provide a meaningful everyday life.

You will follow basic hygiene routines, wear work clothes, and maintain a respectful and professional demeanor towards both care recipients, colleagues, relatives, and other individuals we meet in our work.

Your Responsibilities:

• Assist with personal care, such as showering, hygiene, dressing, and toilet visits, as well as support during meals
• Work according to person-centered care, adapting support to the individual's unique needs and wishes
• In this role, you will administer medication, which means you need to receive delegation from licensed personnel
• Support with daily tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and minor purchases in the local area
• Participate in social activities, providing support and guidance
• Document and stay updated in digital systems
• Write clear journals, document according to guidelines, and establish and follow implementation plans to ensure quality and safe care
• Collaborate with colleagues, nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists, as well as cooperate with relatives
• Follow workplace routines and guidelines
• Act as a contact person or designated care contact, planning how services will be delivered together with the individual

Who are you?

You are a trained care assistant. You have good computer skills and strong proficiency in Swedish, both written and spoken. You have experience working with dementia care.

Other Information

Before employment, you need to demonstrate your right to work in Sweden, which can be done by showing that you have Swedish citizenship, citizenship within the EU/EES/Switzerland, or a valid residence and/or work permit.

Before employment in the care administration, we require you to present a valid extract in a sealed envelope. You can already order a criminal record from the police to expedite the recruitment process: Order the extract called Control of your own information in the criminal record.

We conduct language tests for positions in elderly care, so you may need to take a test before a potential employment.

To be employed as a care assistant with us, you need to provide proof of a protected professional title from the National Board of Health and Welfare or a certificate from an employer of permanent employment as a care assistant by July 1, 2023. Attach this to your application.
