Hjortviken Country Club

We opened our doors in January 2025, and Hjortviken Country Club will then offer a wide range of experiences with two restaurants, 150 rooms, six bars, a Pool Club, and not least our ambitious meeting and event department. Our vision is to create magical moments and lasting memories for our guests by offering experiences that exceed expectations. Here, everything from the smaller but super important management team meeting, the big company kick-off, the birthday party, or the grand anniversary dinner takes place.

About the position

As Sous Chef at Hjortviken Country Club and our restaurant BayBay, you will play a central role in our kitchen operations. You will be part of a dynamic team and work closely with our head chef to ensure that our menus maintain the highest standards and meet our guests' expectations. You are a natural leader and have a passion for creating creative and flavorful food.

BayBay – A sip of Spanish charm

BayBay is located right by – and almost in – the Pool Club. Here awaits a completely different experience, where the flavors reflect the joy of Spanish life, with sunny influences from California.

In BayBay, elegant cocktails such as One-sip Martini and The Devil In My Corner are accompanied by crispy, salty dishes that awaken both appetite and conversation. Here, the social way of eating is celebrated – sharing food, laughter, and moments.

The menu features classics such as Iberico abanico, patatas bravas, gambas al ajillo, and Basque cheesecake – flavors that together create a journey straight into the charm of Spain, via the heart of Hjortviken.

At Hjortviken, food is more than just good – it is an experience to share. And here, every bite becomes part of something bigger.

Responsibilities as Sous Chef
  • Assist the head chef with menu planning and development

  • Lead and inspire the kitchen team in daily operations

  • Ensure that food maintains high quality and is served according to our standards

  • Monitor inventory and orders

  • Follow and maintain hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen

  • Assist with creative ideas and new dishes for the menu

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with a strong passion for cooking and several years of experience working in professional kitchens. You are a team player who enjoys leading and developing your team. You are flexible, solution-oriented, and have a keen eye for detail.

Qualifications we value
  • At least 3 years of experience working as a chef, preferably as a Sous Chef

  • Strong leadership skills and a coaching attitude

  • High sense of hygiene and safety in the kitchen

  • Creativity and ability to develop new dishes and concepts

  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English

About the process

Start date and salary:

Salary and start date according to agreement. The position is a 100% permanent employment.
