Traffic Assistants Wanted

About You

To work with us during the summer, we expect you to have a high school education or be currently enrolled in high school, preferably with experience in customer service or phone support. Since you will be working with many different types of systems, this position requires both strong computer skills and the ability to effectively manage a variety of IT systems.

You find problem-solving rewarding and are driven to deliver good service. You are used to working on multiple tasks simultaneously without losing focus on details. You engage with customers both over the phone and through email and other social channels.

Previous experience in service and customer interaction, traffic, or digitalization is an advantage. Proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written, is a requirement. English and other language skills are advantageous. Good collaboration skills and flexibility are important qualities for this role.

Your Future Workplace

In our customer service centers, you are the gateway in and become Kalmar County Traffic's voice to our travelers.

As a traffic assistant in line traffic, your work mainly involves answering customer inquiries, providing information about services and tickets, taking orders, handling complaints, and providing technical support. If a journey has failed, you assist with new solutions to ensure they reach their destination.

In the work on service journeys, you and your colleagues are responsible for coordinating traffic effectively, with the travelers' wishes for safety and service at the center. You handle bookings for transport services, medical journeys, and other demand-responsive traffic in Region Kalmar County.

Our customer service centers are open large parts of the day, every day of the week, all year round. Therefore, your working hours will involve a schedule that varies between early mornings and late evenings, both weekdays and weekends. Your placement will be at our headquarters in Högsby.

Kalmar County Traffic is part of Region Kalmar County and is responsible for public transport in Kalmar County. Our responsibilities include bus traffic, train traffic, medical journeys, transport services, school journeys, and archipelago traffic. The traffic is conducted together with contracted companies that operate and maintain the vehicles that serve public transport. Thus, we who work at Kalmar County Traffic are the ones who manage, plan, and administer public transport. The headquarters is located in Högsby, with offices in Kalmar and Oskarshamn.
