Wisbygymnasiet

Wisbygymnasiet has approximately 1700 students and about 185 employees, of which around 170 are teachers.

We offer 16 national programs, four introductory programs, and a nationally recruited education.

Your Responsibilities

You will work in Wisbygymnasiet's resource center, which is the place where students go for help with their studies, regardless of whether the goal is to achieve a grade of E or A. The resource center is a voluntary activity for all students at the school and complements classroom teaching.

The teachers at the Resource Center should contribute to ensuring that all students have the opportunity to complete their studies and develop based on their individual conditions. The resource center is intended to increase the student's ability to take responsibility for their learning and gradually develop independence in their studies. The work is based on the school's governing documents and Region Gotland's guidelines for equitable education.

The responsibilities include providing instructional support to students, helping them structure their studies, and promoting personal responsibility for learning. You contribute to a safe environment, work to increase school attendance, and participate in the collaboration and development of the Resource Center's methods.

Who are you?

You have a teaching license with qualifications for Swedish upper secondary level.

We see that you have good subject knowledge and a broad pedagogical competence with the ability to vary your explanations based on the students' different needs.

As an educator in the resource center, you need to be attentive, have the ability to quickly establish contact, and build trust with young people, which contributes to a safe and calm environment. Collaboration skills and commitment to the development of methods and routines are also important qualities.

About the Education and Labor Administration

As part of Region Gotland, we contribute in the education and labor administration to the learning and development of children, youth, and adults. We are responsible for, among other things, preschool, primary school, after-school care, adapted primary and secondary school, cultural school, upper secondary and adult education, labor market initiatives, youth centers, and the reception and establishment of newcomers. Together, we provide opportunities for lifelong learning.
