We are now looking for a chef for a parental leave substitute for at least 1 year. The position is located at Björkbacken's special accommodation within the meal services.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The job responsibilities include, among other things, preparation and cooking of breakfast, lunch, snacks, and special diets. You will plan and organize the work in the kitchen together with your colleagues or independently and follow Sjöbo municipality's goals and guidelines. This includes making calculations for purchases and performing self-checks for good food safety.

You will participate in all tasks in the kitchen such as receiving goods, vegetable preparation, serving, dishwashing, and cleaning. Being able to communicate professionally with various stakeholders such as care staff and care recipients is part of the job. You are used to working independently but can also work in a team.

We would like you to actively work with meal joy and sustainability. We reduce waste by ensuring that food is consumed and by actively planning our preparation and serving. All our employees should have the opportunity to influence the menu, and there are good opportunities to grow and develop within the organization.

Within the meal services, we work with co-planning shifts, which means you may need to work in another kitchen within the municipality according to the schedule.

Weekend work currently means working every 3rd weekend.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with documented chef training and practical experience in the profession. It is also an advantage if you have experience from large kitchens and/or production kitchens as well as from the restaurant industry.

We would like you to;

• Have knowledge of special diets and food legislation.
• Be able to take responsibility, be meticulous, and have good organizational skills.
• Have good collaboration skills.
• Value good service and quality food for our guests.
• Be computer literate.

You must be proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written.

A driver's license and access to a car are advantageous as public transport may be limited in parts of the municipality.
