About the workplace
The operations and sports facilities aim to ensure accessible and appropriate facilities for sports and community life as well as spontaneous active activities, which you will contribute to through your engagement and interest in people and community life.
In the position of sports facility technician, you will belong to a group that works with the daily operations of football fields and green areas as well as artificial turf facilities primarily. The role means that you will be involved in developing and maintaining grass areas for sports and public environments. You will use both scientific knowledge and practical skills to create areas that are safe, sustainable, and aesthetically pleasing. You will also support other facilities within the unit. You will be the face of the community towards associations and citizens. The position involves evening and weekend work to some extent.
Job responsibilities
In your job responsibilities, you will work with:
- Plant biology and physiology, soil science, irrigation, weed control, snow removal at the facilities, maintenance of machines, and other maintenance at the facilities.
- Mowing and maintenance of green areas and facilities
- Maintenance of artificial turf
- Preparing for various events
- General maintenance on and around the facilities
- You may also be at other facilities on certain weekends where you prepare for training and matches
Who are we looking for
We are looking for a driven and social employee with competence and experience in green space maintenance/gardening.
We want you to be independent and structured in your work and have good planning skills. In your work, you ensure a high level of service and accessibility for associations and citizens and see collaboration as a given to achieve common goals.
Qualifications
- You should have education and/or documented work experience in green space maintenance/gardening.
- You should have at least 1 year of professional experience as a sports facility technician or equivalent.
- Good computer skills.
- A driving license (B) is required.

A 6-month probationary period may apply.
