Läckö Castle, beautifully located on a peninsula by Lake Vänern in Lidköping municipality, is one of the largest tourist attractions in Västra Götaland. The castle is a state heritage site and one of Sweden's best-preserved buildings from the era of Swedish great power. The Läckö Castle Foundation conducts a broad cultural tourism operation here.

Job Description

As a guide at Läckö Castle, you will work to convey and bring to life the castle's history in an informative and inspiring way. The position also includes overseeing the castle's culturally and historically valuable environments. Additionally, you will work at our entrance cash desk and assist with light cleaning.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a strong interest in history. Historical studies or previous work as a guide/host is an advantage.

We expect you to have an outgoing working style with good collaboration skills. Service and good hospitality are extremely important to us, which means you should have a high sense of service and a genuine interest in conveying knowledge/information to all the people who visit the area around Läckö Castle and the biosphere area daily. As an employee with us, you are an important part of the entire visitor destination's hospitality work.

You should have a strong interest in personal interactions with people. As a person, you are attentive and have the ability to inspire and motivate, and you enjoy speaking in front of an audience. We place great importance on personal suitability and see it as natural that you contribute to a good working atmosphere.

Good language skills in English are a requirement, and knowledge of German is an advantage. It is beneficial if you have a driver's license and access to a car.

About the Positions

The positions run from June to August/September, with the possibility of extra work during the pre- and post-season.

Weekend work is included, as the operation is open 7 days a week.
