About the position

SAAB is a global leader in the defense and security industry. They develop advanced technological solutions and products to create a safer future. We are currently looking for a dedicated and meticulous circuit board assembler for SAAB's production unit in Järfälla.

As a circuit board assembler, you are an important part of our team and are responsible for the assembly, soldering, and inspection of electronic products. You work with high-quality and advanced components, where precision and quality are crucial. Your role spans the entire production process – from interpreting technical drawings and following assembly instructions to ensuring that the final product meets our high-quality standards.

The assignment begins as a consulting assignment with great opportunities for employment at Saab.

Job Description

• Assembly of circuit boards according to drawings and specifications.
• Hand soldering of components on circuit boards.
• Optical inspection and quality control of assembled units.
• Troubleshooting and correcting any defects.
• Documentation of work processes and quality controls.

We are looking for someone who

Is interested in technology and wants to build a career in the defense industry. Do you have practical skills – perhaps as a hobby mechanic or experienced assembler? Or do you come from another background but want to create a new career in electronics and technical assembly? As long as you have the will to learn, we will provide you with the right conditions to succeed. Oplana also offers updated training for the assignment.

Requirements:

• Technical education or experience in assembly, or other relevant practical background.
• Swedish citizenship

Desirable qualifications:

• Experience in circuit board manufacturing and/or soldering of electronic components.
• Knowledge of IPC standards (IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001).
• Technical education in electronics.
• Previous experience as an assembler.

Working in the defense industry means that the position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may entail requirements for certain citizenship.
