Strömma Kanalbolaget is a brand within the Strömma Turism & Sjöfart AB group that operates experience-based travel and activities in several cities across the Nordic region. We are now looking for seasonal deckhands for our operations in Gothenburg to work aboard our archipelago vessels that operate in Gothenburg harbor and the archipelago.

For the 2026 season, we are seeking reliable and engaged deckhands with a strong drive to work aboard our Gothenburg-based vessels. As a deckhand, you will have a varied and service-oriented job. Your duties will include supervision and some maintenance of the vessel's machinery, care of passenger and crew areas, as well as simpler digital documentation and follow-up routines related to our safety and environmental system. Safety on board, as well as customer service, are central parts of the deck staff's work. You will work closely with those responsible for the vessels' daily operations and be the company's face to guests and visitors on our cruises and trips in the archipelago.

YOU ARE

YOU HAVE

  • Deckhand certification or higher
  • Valid Basic Safety
  • Documented experience in deck service and vessel maintenance
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written
  • Valid medical certificate for seafarers

AND YOU MAY ALSO HAVE

  • Experience working in the tourism and experience industry or another service profession
  • Just started or are currently in university/college studies
  • Engine officer exam class VIII
  • Grew up with boats
  • Ability to work full-time or extra during spring and autumn
