Actors for Jamtli Historieland 2026

Do you want to bring history to life and create memorable experiences for Jamtli's visitors? Jamtli Historieland is a unique event where history comes alive through role-playing and interactive encounters with the museum's visitors. For eight summer weeks, life from different historical periods – from 1785 to 1975 – is portrayed, inviting you on a journey back in time.

As an actor at Jamtli Historieland, you will be part of an engaged team that depicts historical environments and characters. You might play the role of a maid, gas station owner, lumberjack, dairy maid, photographer, carnival owner, farmer, store assistant, or someone from the well-known trio Magnus, Brasse, and Eva from the TV show Fem myror är fler än fyra elefanter.

Your responsibilities include:

• Portraying history through role-playing and interactions with visitors.
• Guiding and working alongside summer interns (youth).
• Contributing to a lively and educational environment for both children and adults.

We are looking for someone who enjoys meeting people of all ages and has an interest in conveying history. You may have various experiences but should fit at least one of the following:

• Knowledge in ethnology, history, or similar subjects.
• Experience in drama, role-playing, live-action role play, or stage performance.
• Knowledge of historical agriculture, forestry, crafts, or hand-milking.
• Experience in pedagogy or conveying knowledge to children and adults.
• Customer service experience, cash handling, or sales.

As a person, you should have good collaboration skills, commitment, and the ability to create a positive experience for museum visitors. We prefer that you have at least five years of work experience.

The job involves approximately 32 hours per week, both weekends and weekdays, during the period of June 20 to August 16. Mandatory and paid introduction days are from June 8 to June 18, as well as a mandatory cleaning day on August 17.
