Do you want to work with really large machines and products where precision and quality are crucial in the final step before delivery? Then you might be the one we are looking for to join our team.

As an operator in fine machining at Björneborg Steel, you will work with machining large workpieces – usually between 10-20 meters. You will use drawings and instructions, set up and operate machines, and ensure that the results meet high-quality standards. The work takes place in a cleaner workshop environment where you are responsible for ensuring that every detail is completely correct before the product is sent to the customer.

Your role also includes:

 

• Operating and monitoring lathes and milling machines for large components

• Using measuring tools and documenting results according to control instructions

• Handling forklifts and overhead cranes

• Performing basic operator maintenance

• Collaborating and supporting colleagues in the workshop

• Has experience working with larger machines in industry or workshops

• Can read drawings and work accurately with fits and tolerances

• Has an understanding of measurement technology and quality assurance

It is an advantage if you have experience with CNC control and cutting machining. Forklift and overhead crane licenses are desirable but can also be obtained in connection with employment.
