Welcome to apply for a summer job at the cemeteries in Luleå Cathedral Parish for the summer period of 2026!

Luleå Cathedral Parish is responsible for the Inner City Cemetery (opposite the Region Norrbotten building), Örnäsk Cemetery at Hertsövägen, and the Cathedral Square Cemetery in central Luleå.

As a summer worker, you will primarily work at the Inner City Cemetery or Örnäsk Cemetery. During the summer period, we have about 45 employees, of which 30 are seasonal workers with varying lengths of employment. Are you interested in caring for our green environments at the cemeteries? Job Responsibilities

Maintenance and care of cemeteries, mainly weeding, caring for grave borders, watering, hedge trimming, lawn mowing, grass trimming, planting spring and summer flowers, leaf blowing/raking. It is a free and varied job where you are part of the work team.

Qualifications

• You enjoy working outdoors regardless of the weather.
• You have very good physical condition as the tasks are often physically demanding.
• You are responsible, meticulous, and service-oriented towards colleagues and visitors.
• You can work both independently and in a team.
• You have a B driver's license.
• You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

Working at a cemetery where grieving people gather requires you to have a humble and respectful attitude. We place great importance on your personal qualities. Conditions

• Seasonal gardener, employment period starting in early June, 7-12 weeks (June-August)
• Working hours 40 hours per week Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 16:00
• Hourly wage according to collective agreement
