Welcome to apply for a summer job at the cemeteries in the Luleå Cathedral Parish for the summer period of 2026!

The Luleå Cathedral Parish is responsible for the Inner City Cemetery (opposite the Region Norrbotten building), Örnäskyrkogården at Hertsövägen, and the Cathedral Square Cemetery in central Luleå.

As a summer employee, you will primarily work at the Inner City Cemetery or Örnäskyrkogården. During the summer period, we have about 45 employees, of which 30 are seasonal workers with varying lengths of employment. Are you interested in caring for our green environments at the cemeteries? Job Responsibilities

Maintenance and upkeep of cemeteries, mainly weeding, care of grave borders, watering, hedge trimming, lawn mowing, grass trimming, planting spring and summer flowers, leaf blowing/raking. It is a free and varied job where you are part of the work team.

Qualifications

• You enjoy working outdoors regardless of the weather.
• You have very good physical condition as the tasks are often physically demanding.
• You are responsible, meticulous, and service-oriented towards colleagues and visitors.
• You can work both independently and in a team.
• You have a B driver's license.
• You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

Working in a cemetery where grieving people visit requires a humble and respectful attitude. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. We prefer that you have education or experience in cemetery work, gardening/parks, or landscaping. We offer fresh air, beautiful environments, opportunities for wellness, and work clothes.

Conditions

• Seasonal gardener, employment period from April 28 to October 11.
• Working hours 40 hours/week Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 16:00.
• Monthly salary according to collective agreement.
