The Role of ST-Doctor

As an ST-doctor with us, you will work with assessment, investigation, and treatment of children, adolescents, and their families. The work takes place in interdisciplinary teams around each patient, where psychologists, nurses, social workers, and occupational therapists collaborate.

The ST training includes work in child and adolescent psychiatric inpatient and outpatient care, step 1 training, rotations in pediatrics, adult psychiatry, anorexia care, and child and adolescent habilitation. Placement at a university clinic is offered at the end of the placement. Process supervision and clinical supervision continue throughout the training period in accordance with SOSFS 2015:8. Research opportunities are available.

Your Future Workplace

The clinic in Värnamo is centrally located at Vallgatan 4 and consists of about 30 employees. Here, we work in two interdisciplinary teams with a systemic, non-hierarchical working method and a shared responsibility for the patient. The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in Region Jönköping County is a county clinic with clinics in Nässjö, Värnamo, and Jönköping, as well as a county-wide care department (department 61) in Jönköping. We are about 140 employees who together provide specialist psychiatric care to children and adolescents aged 0–17 in the county's 13 municipalities.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who gains energy from providing good care with efficient flows and quality. Someone who has a helpful spirit, enjoys working in interdisciplinary teams, can work independently but also sees the value of collaborating, both within the unit and across clinic boundaries and with care neighbors.

Basic requirements are:

• Doctor with a license
• Swedish in speech and writing
• Driving license B

Previous experience working with children is an advantage.
