Paramedic to Halland

About the job
As a paramedic, you work in a team with a licensed ambulance nurse. The assignment includes assessment, care, and transport of patients in both subacute and acute situations.
In our organization, you will also periodically work with non-emergency patient transport for shorter or longer periods. This is a natural part of our mission and an important function in the care chain. We expect you to approach this work with the same professionalism, responsibility, and commitment as other assignments.
The work is carried out according to regional and national guidelines and in close collaboration with other actors in the care chain. Shifts are scheduled for days, evenings, nights, and weekends, with individual scheduling. Placement will be at one of our main stations in Kungsbacka, Varberg, Falkenberg, or Halmstad, but work throughout the region may occur.
About the workplace
The ambulance service in Halland is part of the Ambulance, Diagnostics, and Health (ADH) administration. The operations are conducted from main stations in Kungsbacka, Varberg, Falkenberg, and Halmstad and are characterized by clear leadership, structured working methods, and a strong focus on quality and development.
About you and the role
Good technical understanding, interest in vehicles, and the ability to solve practical problems are important assets in the role. We are looking for someone who is confident in patient work and who is also curious, solution-oriented, and responsible in daily tasks.
We invest in education, simulation, and method development. The introduction is tailored to your background and experience and focuses on our local working methods, vehicles, and organizational structures. As a new employee, you will undergo approximately ten weeks of introduction, with training and local adaptation in both non-emergency patient transport and emergency ambulance, as well as other tasks for paramedics within the ambulance service in Halland.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who currently works as a paramedic and is confident in their professional role. You have good clinical experience, are used to working independently within the framework of teamwork, and contribute stability, professionalism, and good judgment in daily work.
You are a team player who takes responsibility for the whole – the patient, the team, the vehicle, and the assignment. You thrive in an environment with high demands on quality, collaboration, and responsibility.
Requirements:
- Trained paramedic according to current requirements
- At least 5 years of current experience in ambulance care
- Current training in PS Good physical and mental ability to work in a prehospital environment
- Driver's license: C/C1 or equivalent qualification.
Meritorious:
- Completed training; PHTLS, AMLS, PS+
- Experience as a PS instructor
- Good knowledge and great interest in vehicles, technology, and medical technical equipment
- Ability to see solutions, troubleshoot, and handle technical challenges in everyday life
