Event Host at Smaklabbet

Smaklabbet is a unique meeting place where consumers, researchers, and food companies come together to explore the future of food. During the summer of 2026, we will operate a temporary popup environment in Väderstad, where visitors will have the chance to try exciting food innovations, participate in lectures and workshops, and learn more about sustainable food production.

Are you over 18 and looking for a developing and fun summer job? We are now seeking engaged event hosts who want to be part of this inspiring event!

RESPONSIBILITIES

As an event host at Smaklabbet, your main task is to create a welcoming and inspiring environment for our visitors. You will, among other things:

• Welcome and inform visitors, guiding them through exhibitions and taste tests.
• Assist companies and researchers with product and consumer testing.
• Collect visitor feedback and contribute to an engaging experience.
• Help with practical tasks during workshops, lectures, and taste demonstrations as needed.
• Ensure that exhibition areas and common spaces are inviting and well-organized.
• Handle simpler logistics tasks such as material replenishment, traffic coordination, and general order.
• Ensure that premises and facilities are kept fresh and inviting for visitors to ensure a pleasant environment.

Working days vary and may involve both quieter and more intense periods depending on visitor pressure and planned activities. The scope is approximately 60%, and work takes place during the day. Weekend work may occur.

QUALIFICATIONS

To thrive in this role, we see that you are:

• Interested in food, sustainability, and innovation.

Previous experience in events, service work, or practical work within the tourism sector is advantageous. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
