Saab's laser operations were acquired by LUMIBIRD in June 2022, and today the operations are conducted under the name Lumibird Photonics Sweden AB at Kallebäcksberget in Gothenburg.

Job Description

As an Electronics Assembler at Lumibird Photonics, you will be part of an operation where there is rescheduling, handling of new production and repairs, as well as manufacturing various types of laser rangefinders and their components. Overall, you will perform soldering of components on circuit boards and cabling of wires to the assembled product with mechanics. In your daily work, you will use drawings and documents in both Swedish and English. Furthermore, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of assembly documentation, as well as contribute to continuous improvements within the operation.

Examples of Tasks:

• Soldering
• Reading drawings
• Responsible for performing assembly, sub-assembly inspection, and modification work in production
• Performing electrical functional testing, ESD, and calibration
• Performing assembly beyond standard work, such as prototype work and repairs
• Actively contributing to the development and maintenance of assembly documentation

The assignment is full-time with immediate start and good chances for extension and employment with the client. Work takes place during the day in Gothenburg.

Qualifications

To succeed in the role of Electronics Assembler, we would like you to have a strong interest in technology and electronics. We prefer that you have a technical/scientific education or relevant work experience in electronics production.

Furthermore, you are a flexible person who is curious and takes initiative in new situations. You should also be comfortable using computer systems to manage various documents required for instructions and reporting. In addition, we see that you are communicative as the work requires collaboration, both with your colleagues and with other parties. You carry out your work with enthusiasm and precision, where your goal is to deliver on time with good quality while having fun at work.

Meritorious:

• Experience in manual soldering
• Valid soldering certificate
• Experience in reading drawings
