Siemens Energy develops and manufactures world-leading gas turbines for a global market. The company also delivers complete turbine-based power plants for long-term sustainable and cost-effective production of electricity, steam, and heat. In Trollhättan, combustion chambers for gas turbines are manufactured, and the company specializes in the production of parts made from stainless steel, alloys, and heat-resistant materials.
Your Responsibilities
As a machine welder at Siemens, you will work in a modern production environment where quality, safety, and precision are the focus. You will be responsible for performing welding work according to drawings and established welding procedures, as well as ensuring that production maintains high quality.
Perform plasma and TIG welding according to drawings and WPS
Set up, monitor, and operate semi-automatic welding machines
Perform daily maintenance of welding machines
Inspect incoming materials for quality
Prepare materials, fixtures, and equipment for welding
Measure and check dimensions and weld quality according to drawing specifications and quality requirements
Document completed work and any deviations
Participate in improvement work, production meetings, and quality reviews
The working hours are on a 2-shift schedule:
Morning shift: Monday – Friday, 06:00 – 14:00
Afternoon shift: Monday – Thursday, 14:00 – 23:30
Your Profile
We are looking for someone with experience in welding within the manufacturing industry – either from manual welding or machine welding – and who has an interest in working with and developing in machine welding. You thrive in a structured and safety-conscious production environment and are meticulous, responsible, and able to collaborate easily with others.
We are looking for someone who has:
An industrial program or equivalent welding education
Experience in welding within the manufacturing industry
Knowledge of TIG welding (plasma/MIG/MAG is a plus)
The ability to read and interpret drawings and welding symbols
An understanding of material properties and basic knowledge of welding parameters, fixturing, and clamping
Forklift and overhead crane licenses (a plus)

The employment begins as a consulting assignment where you will be employed by us at Skill and work as a consultant at Siemens.
