About the position

As the Business Area Manager for Industry and Workshop at IVAB, you will have a strategically important role with responsibility for leading and developing our industrial and workshop operations. You will be a key person in driving profitable projects, building strong customer relationships, and creating capacity for growth. The role includes both operational and strategic work, focusing on business, calculations, prioritization of assignments, and management of responsible managers for our three units: two workshops and one industrial department.

You will report directly to the CEO, be part of the management team, and have the mandate to shape working methods, structure, and forums that support growth and profitability.

Your responsibilities include:

• Strategic responsibility for business development, growth agenda, and expansion plans
• Operational responsibility for project prioritization, customer engagement, and follow-up of costs, staffing, and capacity
• Leadership for direct-reporting managers and your own management team
• Coordination of jobs between the industrial and workshop departments as well as internal sales through regions and branches
• Follow-up on profitability, turnover, and key figures
• Improvement work, development, and future resource planning

We believe you have:

• Relevant higher education (technical education, engineering degree, or higher) or extensive experience in a similar role
• Documented leadership experience, preferably with branch or regional responsibility
• Experience from the industrial, workshop, or manufacturing sector
• Good economic understanding and knowledge of calculations, project management, and manufacturing
• Ability to build customer relationships and drive business
• Good knowledge of English

Personal qualities:

• High engagement and solution-oriented
• Positive mindset and strong drive
• Ability to coach and develop others

Requirements:

• Driving license B
• Good knowledge of the Office package and digital tools
• Proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
