Implementation Department Visby

The Implementation Department Visby consists of two sections with different focuses. As a Sensor Telecommunications Technician, you will be part of the Telecom Section.

Main Responsibilities

The main responsibilities as a telecommunications technician involve operational and maintenance measures on parts of the Armed Forces' facilities. The tasks consist of performing inspections and maintenance on the Armed Forces' radar systems, both independently and in teams. Travel for work and overnight stays in other locations may occur. Climbing masts and towers is a mandatory task.

Other tasks involving preventive and corrective maintenance within the unit's area of work may occur. On-call duty may be included in the responsibilities.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:

  • High school education with an electrical/telecommunications focus in data communication, or equivalent knowledge acquired in other ways that the employer can assess as equivalent.
  • Driver's license at least B (Manual transmission).
  • The position requires work at heights.

Personal qualities:

Important personal qualities include being independent, service-oriented, and having good collaboration skills. You are technically inclined, have good troubleshooting abilities, and are quality-conscious. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

DESIRABLE

  • Experience in electrical/electrotechnical work
  • Familiarity with the Armed Forces' equipment/materials.
  • Instrument measurement technology.
  • Completed military basic training.

Other:

The employment is a permanent position with a 6-month probationary period. Start date as soon as possible or as agreed. The position is civilian. The title is Telecommunications Engineer. Work location: Visby.
