On October 30, the municipal council decided that Uppvidinge Municipality would take back responsibility for property management within Uppvidinge Municipality. The transition will take place on April 1, 2026, and therefore there are great opportunities to contribute to the establishment of an operation and help enhance professionalism in the organization. Since it is a smaller organization, this means that you should not be afraid to help where needed, regardless of the tasks.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The department will consist of seven employees and is responsible for the maintenance of the municipality's properties, including locks, alarms, access to property planning with maintenance plans, and larger investments. We are looking for someone who thrives with a high degree of responsibility and can independently plan their work. You are flexible and enjoy taking your own creative initiatives in everyday work. Furthermore, we see that you are a good teammate with strong collaboration skills. The work is performed both individually and in groups.

We are now looking for two property caretakers and two property technicians. As a property caretaker/property technician, you will be responsible for managing the operations of Uppvidinge Municipality's property portfolio with associated premises in line with the goals of the Community Service Administration. The property caretaker has daily contact with tenants and businesses. The position requires the ability to initiate and drive work both independently and in a group. To succeed in the role, collaboration, engagement, quality awareness, flexibility, and a positive attitude with social skills are essential.

Main tasks for both positions include:

  • Supervision and maintenance of Uppvidinge Municipality's properties.
  • Planning and prioritizing tasks based on operations, economy, resources, needs, and external circumstances.
  • Corrective actions.
  • Conducting systematic preventive maintenance.
  • Performing statutory and regulatory inspections.
  • Supportive operational tasks.
  • Following up on NKI surveys and actively working with the results.
  • Cleaning and waste management.
  • Minor operational adjustments.

As a property technician, you should also have a good understanding of heating, cooling, water, and ventilation systems, be able to adjust and optimize with the support of control and regulation equipment. Troubleshoot existing facilities. Actively develop your knowledge and be a driving part of Uppvidinge Municipality's energy work and educate the relevant property caretakers.

The maintenance of green spaces of municipal properties will not be included in either position. This task will be the responsibility of the Technical Department.

QUALIFICATIONS

PROPERTY CARETAKER

Three-year upper secondary education with vocational qualification.

Training in property management-1, or relevant education for the tasks, or that you have acquired your knowledge in another way. Experience relevant to the assignment combined with a strong service mindset and good collaboration skills.

PROPERTY TECHNICIAN

Three-year upper secondary education with vocational qualification.

Training in upper secondary VVS and property programs or relevant education for the tasks, or that you have acquired your knowledge in another way. Experience relevant to the assignment combined with a strong service mindset and good collaboration skills.

For both positions, the following is required:

  • Good computer skills and system understanding.
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
  • Independence, accuracy, and good communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of property systems (e.g., Vitec, Momentum, or similar).
  • Driving license B.

Meritorious:

  • Training in facility management fire alarm/sprinkler.
  • If you have experience in electricity, construction, ventilation, or VVS.

OTHER
