Our Operations

We have a large catchment area as we are one of six highly specialized neurosurgical clinics in Sweden, receiving both planned and emergency patients around the clock. The patients we care for have brain hemorrhages, tumors in the brain and spine, spinal injuries, vascular malformations, and hydrocephalus.

Your Mission

With us, you will be responsible, together with other nurses, doctors, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists, for the pre- and post-operative care of patients in modern facilities. Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant with at least three years of experience in inpatient care. Experience in surgical care is an advantage, but you are expected to have knowledge and documented experience in basic nursing as well as specific nursing such as catheter placement, blood sampling, and being able to perform manual checks. As you will work as the sole nursing assistant in our teams, you need experience and knowledge in documentation as well as good planning of your work. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability in this recruitment.

Your Competence

You enjoy working with patients and their relatives. You focus on the patient and are responsible and motivated in your work. With us, there is a large flow of patients, which requires you to be flexible and have the ability to prioritize your work.

We Offer

We can offer you a probationary employment of 6 months with a chance for permanent employment on full/part-time. The introduction is tailored to your previous experiences. As we apply individual scheduling, you have great opportunities to control your work week. Working hours are scheduled for day, evening, night, and weekends. Start date by agreement. For your development, we also have regularly scheduled training days where we deepen our knowledge in relevant topics as a group. We have an internal advanced course in neurosurgery for nursing assistants and nurses over six full days. This course is offered each semester, and all staff are invited to attend. As a nursing assistant, you also have the opportunity to attend Grund-us, which is a systematic professional introduction for somatic inpatient care at Uppsala University Hospital with practical skills training and lectures.
