The Gothenburg Primary School Administration is one of the largest school administrations in Sweden. We are responsible for the city's municipal schools from preschool class to grade nine, adapted primary school, culture school, and after-school care. In the administration, there are 138 municipal primary schools where almost 47,000 students attend school every day. The entire administration has about 9,700 employees who work together to develop and take care of the operations - together we pave the way for the school of the future.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In the Meal Area NO 1, there are a total of nine schools, distributed within the areas of Lövgärdet, Gårdsten, Ranneberg, and Angered Center. We are looking for a chef who wants a fun and varied job where you make a difference for our diners and the environment. You will work either in a production kitchen or a preparation kitchen; the production kitchens prepare food that is then sent out to schools in the area, while the preparation kitchens provide meals for their own house.

As a chef, your tasks include planning and preparing school meals, special diets, salad buffets, bread baking, and serving delicious and nutritious meals. Your duties also include pre- and post-work in the kitchen and dining room, dishwashing, and waste management. You will order goods, work in food data programs, and carry out the unit's self-control.

As a chef with us, you will be part of an exciting development project where you prepare and serve delicious and healthy meals to our students. Together with your colleagues, you lay the foundation for a good, safe, and well-prepared school lunch so that our students can perform well. For us, it is obvious to work with sustainable and climate-adapted meals.

You will be part of a team where we help each other with all tasks in the kitchen. We work daily in various IT systems for ordering, communication, and meal planning, and we offer training in these. The work is performed during the day, Monday to Friday.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained chef with experience in the profession. It is an advantage if you have three years or more of experience in the field. Furthermore, you have experience with special diets and vegetarian cooking. You have good and current knowledge of food hygiene. We also expect you to be able to write, read, and communicate well in Swedish as you will have many contacts with students, teachers, and other staff in your work. To manage orders, you need sufficient IT skills.

To contribute to good service in the role of chef, you need to have a great commitment and interest in food. You are meticulous and responsible. You have a good attitude and show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role. Furthermore, you are flexible and thrive in an environment where you need to adapt to new conditions. You have the ability to work together with others to perform tasks and achieve goals.
