Your role as a nursing assistant/student nurse semester 5

We are looking for you who have completed semester 5 of the nursing program to work as a nursing assistant with us at the surgery clinic.

You will always work with the support of a trained nurse and hold personal delegation for certain nursing tasks, such as preparation and administration of medications, sampling, handling of IVs and central venous catheters, documentation in Cosmic and LINK.

During the summer position, you will gain insight and practice in several areas, which you will feel strengthened in after completing your education. You will also work with basic nursing. The tasks include hygiene, mobilization, wound and tube care, as well as preparation and aftercare for surgeries and examinations.

We work in teams with different professions, and together with other staff, you will work for good collaboration within the clinic and person-centered care.

Your future workplace

Welcome to the surgical care unit. Here we care for surgical and urological emergency care patients across many specialties, as well as patients who are admitted in connection with surgery. We also care for palliative patients belonging to SSIH (Specialized Healthcare at Home).

To have good summer planning, we look positively on if you can work as many weeks as possible between weeks 25-32 during the summer. If you have the opportunity for sporadic introduction during the spring and week 24, that is positive. If you need a few days of continuous leave or a long weekend, we will accept requests regarding that before the schedule is made.
