The role of caregiver/nursing assistant/certified nursing assistant

In the role of summer substitute caregiver/nursing assistant/certified nursing assistant, you work in a team together with nurses and other professional categories. Patients have access to treatment forms such as supportive conversations, medication treatment, ear acupuncture, etc. As a caregiver with us, you participate in the implementation of all steps of the nursing process and follow the patient from admission to discharge.

Working hours are scheduled during days, evenings, nights, and weekends.

Your profile

We are looking for someone over 18 years old with an education in health and medical care or undergoing another care-related education. We would like you to have an interest in psychiatric care and our target group.

To fit within psychiatry, your approach to patients is of great importance. Your empathetic ability and service mindset are a good foundation for the patients' well-being with us. Since collaboration is common in our working methods, it is preferred that you appreciate working together. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.

To have the best possible summer planning, we view positively if you can work 8 weeks or at least 4 consecutive weeks during the summer. Introduction will take place in addition to these weeks.

Our offer to you

As a valued part of your summer position, we offer a deepening within the various aspects of psychiatry, through our knowledgeable staff, a summer school. You will learn about different aspects of psychiatric care and treatment. This, of course, takes place during paid working hours and means that you will fill your backpack with more than just practical knowledge after your time with us.

In addition to the region's common introduction program, we also hold an additional full-day introductory training where you will learn about patient interaction in psychiatry and suicide prevention. We believe this provides you with a good foundation for your time as a substitute with us. Additionally, we of course offer a workplace-specific introduction for the best possible conditions.

As of July 1, 2023, the title of certified nursing assistant is a protected professional title. You who are a trained certified nursing assistant will need to indicate in your application whether you have applied for the protected title. If you currently have a permanent position as a certified nursing assistant and have not applied for the protected title, we ask you to attach a certificate of your permanent employment in your application to continue to retain the title of certified nursing assistant.
