The Role of the Nurse

During the summer of 2026, an exciting, developing, and varied job as a nurse awaits you with us. In this role, you have a central position in the nursing process and are responsible for leading and coordinating the patient's care through all steps of the process. Your tasks include assessing and planning care interventions based on the patient's individual needs, always in collaboration with both the patient and their relatives.

As a nurse, you become an important part of the team where you work together with doctors, occupational therapists, and caregivers to provide the patient with the best possible care. You coordinate care plans and ensure that the treatment is tailored and carried out in a safe and professional manner. Through continuous dialogue and follow-up, you contribute to creating a stable and secure care environment.

The work is developing and gives you the opportunity to strengthen your knowledge in psychiatric nursing, acute and long-term patient contact, as well as to develop your skills in leading and supporting colleagues in a close-knit team. Your work as a nurse with us during the summer will be an important foundation for your continued career and development within healthcare.

Working hours are scheduled during days, evenings, and weekends. In terms of scope, we offer you the opportunity to work as a part-time employee or as a full-time employee depending on your preference. If you want to stay with us after the summer, there are good chances of that!

Your Profile

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse or graduating in June 2026. We value if you have an interest in psychiatric care and our target group.

To thrive and make a difference in psychiatry, your way of meeting patients is crucial. Your empathetic ability and focus on providing support form an important foundation for the patients' well-being with us. Since our working methods are based on collaboration, we value that you appreciate working in a team. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

To have the best possible summer planning, we view positively if you, who want to work full-time, can work 8 weeks or at least 4 consecutive weeks during the summer. Introduction takes place in addition to these weeks.

Our Offer to You

As a valued part of your summer employment, we offer a deepening in psychiatry through our employees, a summer school. You will learn about different aspects within the psychiatric spectrum, led by our competent staff. This will, of course, take place during paid working hours and means that you will fill your backpack with more than practical knowledge after your time with us.

In addition to the region's common introduction program, we also hold an additional full-day introductory training where you will learn about meeting patients in psychiatry and suicide prevention. We believe this provides you with a good foundation for your time as a substitute with us. In addition, we, of course, offer a workplace-oriented introduction for the best conditions.
