About the position

Within the Cancer Theme, patients with various forms of malignant tumors are investigated, treated, and cared for at different stages of their cancer disease. The Cancer Theme also conducts many clinical studies in various phases and treats patients who do not have cancer, i.e., benign conditions in areas such as urology, endocrinology, hematology, and coagulation. The Cancer Theme primarily operates in Huddinge and Solna but also has operations in cancer care at Danderyd Hospital.

We are looking for someone who

• As a nurse, you are responsible for the care of the patient. You are the "spider in the web" and have contact with all professions around the patient, such as doctors, dietitians, physiotherapists, and more.
• Enjoys working with cancer care and wants to be part of the development of cancer care.
• Is calm and controlled in stressful or pressured situations.
• Maintains a realistic perspective on situations and focuses on the right things.
• Takes initiative, starts activities, and achieves results.
• Adapts easily to changing circumstances and can quickly change viewpoints and approaches.
• Sees opportunities in changes.

Since the work is largely independent, you need to have good organizational skills, a willingness to work independently, and the ability to assess patients' symptoms. Additionally, you need to have the ability and willingness to work in a team, as this is a prerequisite for success in the role.

Qualifications

Requirements

• Licensed nurse with authorization to work in Swedish healthcare

Meritorious

• Experience in cancer care
• Worked two years full-time as a nurse
• Experience in administering chemotherapy

The Cancer Theme is one of the largest areas within the hospital. We investigate, treat, and care for patients with some form of malignant tumor disease as well as benign hematology and coagulation disorders.
