Description

We are looking for summer substitutes for our local editorial offices in the north: Högsby and Mönsterås.

As a local editor, you are in the know. You capture small and large news stories in the area, meet people, and reflect life in the municipality from a broad perspective. You care about reader dialogue, both in real meetings and on social media.

You should be able to work independently as well as collaboratively on idea development, planning, and production for OT.se and the printed newspaper six days a week. You must have good knowledge of the Swedish language and society.

You will be based at Oskarshamns-Tidningen's editorial office in Oskarshamn.

Responsibilities

The job includes chasing news, writing reports, photographing, and making simple video clips.

Working Hours

The work involves daytime shifts from Monday to Friday, but evenings may also occur.

Qualifications

Journalism education and/or experience in editorial work. Basic photography skills. You find it easy to connect with people. You have good judgment, take responsibility for your tasks, and understand the importance of meeting deadlines. We expect an interest in social media. Of course, you have a driver's license.
