About the operation:

At the Unit for Integration and Language, we work with mother tongue teaching and study guidance for all schools in the municipality and the reception of newly arrived students in the municipality's primary schools.

Job Responsibilities:

Study guidance is aimed at newly arrived students who are unable to follow the teaching in Swedish and who risk not meeting the knowledge requirements that must be achieved in one or more subjects. As a study guide, you support students in their language and knowledge development with the help of their mother tongue and act as a cultural and linguistic bridge. You have close cooperation with teaching teachers. The main tasks as a study guide include supporting the student's knowledge development by alternating guidance in their mother tongue and Swedish to, for example, reinforce new words and concepts and guide students in learning strategies, such as study techniques. Study guidance can take place with individual students or several students in groups from grade 1 to high school. Currently, there is a need for two students in primary school.

Qualifications:

• Swahili as a mother tongue.
• Approved grades in either SFI D, Basic Swedish course 4, or Swedish as a second language level 1 or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish school system.
• Good IT skills.
• Meritorious if you have an academic education and education with a pedagogical focus.
