ABOUT THE JOB

We are now looking for summer substitutes for elderly and group homes in Lycksele municipality for the summer of 2026.

Do you want to work as a summer substitute in residential care within Support, care, and assistance this summer? Then do not hesitate to send us your application! Lycksele municipality strives to offer good citizen service, and the core of this is our skilled and knowledgeable employees. Together we have a broad competence, and together we become better. Being a summer substitute in Support, care, and assistance means that during the period from June to August, you will work as a substitute in our operations when regular staff are on vacation. There is an opportunity to start the summer job earlier and get trained already in the spring. If you then want to continue as an hourly substitute in the fall, there are good opportunities for continued work.

As an employee in residential care, elderly care, or group homes, you will assist our users with service and personal care. Our work is to make a difference, so that our users' quality of life becomes as good as possible. Being the one who can make a difference for other people makes the job very enjoyable. The most important work tools we have are our approach and our smile, so that our fellow human beings feel seen and acknowledged. The work will be scheduled, with day, evening, or night shifts.

YOUR PROFILE

We are looking for someone who is 18 years or older. We consider it advantageous if you have an education in care and assistance or equivalent training that the employer assesses as equivalent, but the most important thing for us is that you have interest and commitment to work with people and want to support them in their daily lives. We believe it is an advantage, but not a requirement, if you have a B driver's license.

As a person, you are good at listening, understanding, and empathizing with other people and their needs. You will be in contact with many people daily, such as users, relatives, and staff, which requires a good approach and good collaboration skills. Working with people means an exciting and changing everyday life, and therefore we believe that you can easily adapt and prioritize tasks according to current conditions. Therefore, great importance will be placed on personal suitability.

This year, we have also worked on salaries and conditions for our summer substitutes, as you are important to us! This means that we will pay higher salaries than the central agreement during the summer months. We also try to assist with temporary housing if you have difficulty finding accommodation in Lycksele while you work with us.

ABOUT THE EMPLOYMENT

Duration: Summer substitute from June to August.
Scope: 100% or as agreed.
Start: As agreed.
Salary: We apply individual salary setting.
