Job Description

Together, we face significant societal challenges where energy issues play a central role. The AFRY Future Energy Programme is for you as a recent graduate engineer who wants to contribute to the energy transition. The program introduces you to the energy sector, provides a secure start in the consulting role, and allows you to work on real client projects alongside an educational program in the energy field. You will simultaneously build a valuable network within AFRY and develop your expertise. The program offers a broad introduction to the energy sector and the consulting role through lectures on electrical and energy systems, renewable energy, project models, and environmental/permitting processes.

At AFRY Transmission & Distribution (T&D), we work on developing the future electrical grid – from feasibility studies and designs to project management, analyses, and system studies. Our assignments include substations, switchgear, power lines, permitting processes, grid infrastructure, and much more.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who wants to work in one of our areas of expertise (see above). You are at the beginning of your career and are attracted to both the energy sector and the consulting role. Since we work broadly within the electrical power area, your educational background can be in fields such as electrical power, electrical engineering, mechanics, machine engineering, technical physics, energy systems, or environmental science. Your education should be at the university, master's, or vocational level for technical disciplines, or a bachelor's/master's degree for studies in environmental science or natural geography.

You need to be structured and enjoy having multiple focus areas simultaneously. Working according to clear processes and being able to plan your work well is important for us to ensure good delivery.

For the role of consultant, it is important that you are motivated by building relationships and collaborating, as there are many points of contact. Employment: Fixed-term employment during the program (9 months) with the possibility of permanent employment afterwards.
