What We Offer

Torslanda Battery Factory is our latest addition to VCT where we will manufacture the next generation of fully electric SPA3 batteries, and our mission is to provide hassle-free usage for consumers by creating maximum value throughout the battery's lifecycle.

As a Heavy Repair Operator at Torslanda Battery Factory, you will play a central role in the transition to electrification. You will work with high-voltage batteries for fully electric battery packs, where your focus will be on troubleshooting, analysis, repair, and completion of battery packs. In our pre-series phases, we will test our process and product to optimize and improve, where a Heavy Repair Operator will be involved in the journey and contribute with their knowledge and experience.

Responsibilities and Duties

In the role of Heavy Repair Operator, you will be responsible for repairing and remanufacturing batteries according to instructions, as well as troubleshooting, analyzing, cleaning, and repairing the batteries. Planned maintenance and 5S are performed regularly, and disturbances are resolved to minimize the consequences of faults. Active participation in analyses to identify root causes and find permanent solutions is an important part of the role. Improvement suggestions are created and implemented continuously.

In addition to the above, you will also:

• Perform administrative tasks related to analysis, repair, and associated feedback.
• Ensure that maintenance tasks are completed on time and with high quality.
• Actively participate in disturbance analyses.
• Be responsible for accurate reporting, administration, and documentation.
• Analyze recurring faults and causes in the equipment.

Qualifications and Personal Attributes

We see that you have a high school diploma, where vocational training in automotive technology or electronics is an advantage. You should have several years of experience in a relevant field, such as a mechanic or technician, and good technical knowledge of HV battery packs is a plus. Strong practical skills and experience in handling machines and tools are essential. You also need to have good PC skills.

Your ability to collaborate by building partnerships and cooperative relationships with others to achieve common goals makes you an excellent Heavy Repair Operator.
