Swedish Match Gothenburg is a manufacturing industry that produces snus. The operations consist largely of manufacturing machines and forklifts where work takes place during the day, evening, and night. With us, you will be offered a meaningful, fun, and stimulating job where you, together with the team, will work towards set goals with a focus on quality.

We are looking for summer workers during the period from June to August 2026 for work in production, shipping, kitchen/laundry, preparation, and milling. A prerequisite for employment is that you can work the entire holiday period. You will be part of one of the departments: Production/Shipping/Preparation & Milling and Kitchen. The positions are fixed-term employment at 100%.

Examples of tasks in the areas are:

Production

As an operator, you will work with monitoring and quality control of machine lines that produce snus according to our world-unique quality standard GothiaTek.

Shipping

Check incoming goods against shipping documents and manage the business system. Efficiently store materials and finished goods and deliver against orders.

Preparation/Milling

Receive, store, and supply the mill with tobacco. Control, monitor, and oversee the grinding process. Receive raw materials, sampling, and mixing of flavorings.

Kitchen

Meet customer needs by preparing food, restocking, and serving. The role includes managing the cash register, dishes, coffee machines, and light cooking. Taking care of the laundry of work clothes and inventory/order of these.

Quality Laboratory – K-Lab

In the lab work, you contribute to ensuring the quality of our products that reach consumers. This is done through daily analyses and quality controls of snus batches and finished products.

We are looking for you who:

  • are at least 18 years old when you start working
  • have completed or are currently enrolled in high school
  • have good knowledge of the Office package
  • have good knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written form
  • can work continuously throughout the summer period

Meritorious:

  • High school education in, Workshop Technology, Restaurant & Service, or Logistics & Warehouse
  • Previous work experience in Industrial manufacturing, Food, Technology/Mechanics, Shipping, Warehouse, Restaurant/Large kitchen
  • Forklift license

Personal Qualities:

  • Enjoy working with others
  • High multitasking ability, able to handle several different tasks simultaneously
  • Able to solve, understand, and take in instructions
  • Quick to learn and absorb new tasks
  • High safety awareness

We also use selection tests. After you have submitted your application, you will receive an email with a link to our tests. Please note that these tests are sent from a Philip Morris International email address, and the link only works for one week from the time it is sent. You will complete the tests on a computer! (Not mobile). Completing the tests is a prerequisite for moving on to the next step in the recruitment process.
