The Role of Nursing Assistant/Care Assistant

As a nursing assistant at the emergency clinic, you can work either in the emergency department or the acute care unit (AVA).

In the Acute Care Unit, we take care of acutely ill patients within the specialties of surgery and medicine. You will be responsible for general care and work with nursing assistant tasks within medicine, surgery, and the Detoxification Unit. The work is varied and care-intensive, with a fast patient flow and a lot of personal responsibility. The focus is on care, monitoring, checking vital parameters, observation, sampling, and more.

In the emergency department, we meet people across all specialties such as surgery, medicine, and orthopedics. You will work with individuals who may have time-critical medical conditions and require you to shift your focus quickly. Your tasks include sampling and EKG examinations. Other tasks include prioritizing patients seeking care in the emergency department together with a nurse.

We work in teams and receive new patients to assess and new challenges to solve around the clock. We meet patients of all ages and see each individual as unique. We always strive for good and safe care and to provide a professional encounter.

The Emergency Clinic at County Hospital Ryhov includes the Acute Care Unit along with the Emergency Department and our administrative care unit.

The Emergency Clinic takes care of, diagnoses, treats, and cares for patients with acute illness and accidents that cannot be handled in primary care. We work around the clock, every day of the year. Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant with a strong interest in emergency care. You are interested in both developing and being developed and want to be part of an exciting round-the-clock operation.

If you are studying to become a nurse, you must have completed up to and including semester 4.

To have the best possible summer planning, we view positively if you can work continuously for 6 weeks during the period of weeks 25-35, even better if you can work the entire summer! Introduction will take place in addition to these weeks.

Our Recruitment Process

If you are not yet finished with your studies, please attach a LADOK extract or other certificate showing completed courses. If you already have a verbal agreement regarding a summer position with a manager in our operation, please indicate that person's name and clinic in your application.

Since the nursing assistant title has been protected since July 1, 2023, you will need to indicate in your application whether you have proof of the protected title. If you currently have a permanent position as a nursing assistant and do not have proof of the protected title, please attach a certificate of your permanent position in your application to retain the title of nursing assistant.
