Technical Area Manager Power Engineering at Norsborg Waterworks

We are now looking for a Technical Area Manager Power Engineering at Norsborg Waterworks who wants to be part of developing the future's power engineering solutions in a technically advanced environment where power supply must never fail. As the Technical Area Manager for power engineering, you will have overall responsibility for the electrical systems in an exciting and dynamic operation. RESPONSIBILITIES

As the Technical Area Manager Power Engineering, you will have overall responsibility for the power engineering systems at Norsborg Waterworks. In close collaboration with colleagues and internal clients, you will plan and drive the development within the power engineering area for the facilities.

You will play an active role in all projects related to power engineering, where you will contribute expertise in reference designation systems, facility knowledge, and requirement specification to ensure effective and well-functioning solutions.

The position is a permanent employment with a six-month probation period based at Norsborg Waterworks.

In your role, you will be responsible for:

  • Analyzing, developing, and improving processes, working methods, and routines within the power engineering area
  • Ensuring that the reference designation system is adhered to in both project operations and line organization
  • Participating in the procurement of technical equipment, consultants, and contracts
  • Providing technical support to the operations and maintenance organizations within power engineering, for example through risk analyses, work preparations, and the creation of connection diagrams
  • Being responsible for client review of drawings and technical documentation during projects and new installations
  • Participating as an expert and requirement setter during commissioning, testing, and final inspections
  • Approving the handover of projects to the operations organization
  • Supporting the group manager in budget work, forecasts, monthly follow-ups, and year-end accounts

QUALIFICATIONS

As a person, you have solid technical competence in power engineering and enjoy working in complex facility environments where safety is always a priority. With a structured and solution-oriented work style, you plan and organize effectively, take initiative, and communicate clearly with various stakeholders. Furthermore, you have a good ability to handle decision-making processes in a business-like manner, successfully collaborating with project groups, stakeholders, steering committees, and the line organization.

To succeed in this role, we see that you have the following qualifications:

  • Master's degree or higher education with a focus on Power Engineering or other relevant education/experience deemed suitable
  • At least 10 years of work experience in the field of power engineering
  • Experience from heavy process industry, energy supply, or similar
  • Good knowledge of ESA
  • Driver's license B
  • Good knowledge of the Office suite
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

It is meritorious if you have:

  • Authorization as an electrical installer
  • Basic CAD skills
  • Basic knowledge of MS Project
  • Basic knowledge of occupational safety, CE marking, and BAS-P/U (basic course)

In your position, you will work with classified information. Security clearance and background checks will therefore be conducted in connection with employment.
