Job Responsibilities

You will be part of the student health team and play an important role in student health together with other professionals within the school.

As a school nurse, you are a vital part of the school's student health work with your medical expertise. You are proactive in preventive and health-promoting work. You offer and perform health checks and vaccinations according to the guidelines of the National Board of Health and Welfare for school health care and ensure compliance with the Infection Protection Act and local guidelines.

The work involves close collaboration with students, guardians, school staff, as well as organizations and authorities outside the school. You will be part of a well-functioning student health team together with a school social worker, special educator, psychologist, career counselor, and the work is locally led by the principal.

Qualifications

For these positions, we are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with specialist nursing education in child and adolescent, district, or school nursing.

We seek someone who is engaged and enjoys working with children and adolescents. You take initiative, work independently, and have excellent collaboration skills. You are a responsible person with the ability to build good relationships with guardians and colleagues and have a strong commitment to working with children and adolescents. You are thorough, structured, and can organize your work independently. You will work with some support from other school units in the area in collaboration with a colleague.

To work as a school nurse, a valid B driver's license and access to a personal car are required, as well as a valid extract from the police criminal record to be presented to the employer.

We are looking for a school nurse for a temporary position at 80% with possible extension.
