We are now looking for a new colleague for a summer position.
We are a stable unit that is constantly evolving. Within the organization, there are 25 occupational therapist colleagues, and there are good opportunities for collegial support. With us, you will receive an individually tailored introduction and we apply mentorship to ensure you have the conditions you need to succeed in your role as an occupational therapist. We would describe our work climate as open, supportive, and safe.
Our work environment is characterized by treating all individuals equally and with respect. We promote camaraderie and have fun together. Occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and rehabilitation assistants together form Sundsvall Municipality Rehab. We all sit together in our newly renovated premises in Nacksta. Sitting together allows for close exchange of experiences and the opportunity to strengthen our competencies.
As an occupational therapist with us, you will work in interdisciplinary teams together with physiotherapists, nurses, care staff, and unit managers. Sundsvall Municipality has a MAR and an Assistive Technology Coordinator as operational support.
This is a temporary position from June 8 to August 30, 2026.
Your contribution as an occupational therapist
The work of an occupational therapist is very varied; you prioritize and organize your workday both independently and together with your colleagues based on the cases you are responsible for. The practical work is conducted in patients' homes in both special and ordinary housing. We have close interdisciplinary collaboration with physiotherapists, nurses, care staff, and unit managers. You will participate in regular team meetings with a focus on the patient's needs. Based on the patient's activity capacity, you will assess needs for training, compensatory measures such as assistive devices, or environmental adaptations. Guidance and instruction to patients, relatives, and care staff are important parts of the work.
Your skills and experience
We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist.
- You have a good ability to be flexible and to be independent in planning, organizing, and prioritizing your work.
- You are confident in yourself and comfortable working independently and mentoring others, but you are also flexible in your working style and see opportunities in the challenges that arise.
- You enjoy working with others and contribute to a good work environment.
- You have good verbal and written communication skills and are computer literate.
