Your Role as a Control Systems Engineer

As a Control Systems Engineer, you will work at customers' power stations with the following tasks:

  • Commissioning, configuration, and testing of control equipment
  • Replacement of devices during troubleshooting or minor renewals
  • Troubleshooting of control systems and associated high-voltage equipment
  • Configuration of relay protection, NX equipment, and other control equipment
  • Control and adjustment of measurement and control circuits
  • Minor construction adjustments for smaller and temporary measures
  • Routine testing of relay protection
  • Opportunity to take responsibility for testing management and commissioning management in larger projects for customers in industry, distribution, and generation

You will belong to the Technical Business Area, where we have about 170 engineers spread across the country, providing access to a very large competence base. We actively work with internal training to broaden and deepen the competence of our employees. With us, you will have the opportunity to work with all types of control equipment at all voltage levels - from DC systems to the national grid.

Traveling for work with overnight stays is a natural part of the job.

Requirements

We know that you will develop together with us. However, to succeed in the role, you already need to have:

  • A post-secondary education in electrical power or equivalent work experience
  • Good knowledge of electrical power facilities and associated high-voltage equipment
  • Knowledge of relay protection and relay protection configuration
  • Good computer skills
  • Driving license B
  • Fluent Swedish in speech and writing

We consider it an advantage if you have:

  • Experience working with control systems within regional and national grids or equivalent in heavy industry
  • Experience with older relay technology and IEC 61850
  • Experience configuring RTUs/Switches and protocols IEC 101/104
  • Experience in construction within control systems.
  • Good knowledge of English

To succeed in the role, you also need to be able to plan and prioritize your tasks independently.
