The Property Department within the Infrastructure and Service Administration is responsible for, among other things, the operation, maintenance, and development of municipal properties. The department has a significant impact on how our citizens and visitors experience their everyday life at work, in school, and in community centers. The Property Management section is divided into two units and is responsible for the operation of approximately 660,000 square meters of local and residential space.

We are now looking for someone who wants an interesting and developing assignment as a unit manager in property management. The unit manages approximately 337,000 square meters of space, consisting of schools, preschools, swimming halls, etc. We offer friendly colleagues, newly built workplaces, professional development, and good employment conditions.

As a unit manager, you are responsible for managing and developing the operations within the framework of the assignment. With a strong focus on both results, relationships, and the whole, you lead your employees towards the established goals, with a significant focus on operational work. Follow-up, evaluation of operations, and finances are a natural part of your work.

Furthermore, you participate and contribute to development across team boundaries together with other unit managers. Your team consists of 14 property managers who manage Luleå Municipality's rented and owned operational premises.

You report directly to the section manager and are part of the section's management group.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for someone with a relevant academic degree, preferably in economics or other knowledge and experience that we consider equivalent. You have previous experience as a leader in operations, personnel, and finance.

You are a confident and clear leader whose leadership promotes trust, accountability, courage, and innovation. You have the ability to create engagement and participation among your employees. As a person, you are development-oriented with the ability to adapt operations to given financial frameworks and changes in the external environment.

You have good communication skills and a good command of spoken and written Swedish and English. Personal suitability is of great importance.

You also have very good computer skills, knowledge of the Office 365 software package, and a B driver's license.

Experience in the industry that is deemed relevant is an advantage.
