We are looking for someone who wants to be part of a multiprofessional team where you will have the opportunity to work with both psychiatric and somatic care. With us, you will meet patients with substance abuse issues and psychotic disorders and contribute to providing safe and individualized care.

The Specialist Psychiatric Department 4 is a regional resource that offers assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for patients with substance abuse issues as well as for patients with psychotic disorders. Care is provided both according to the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL) and the coercive care legislation LPT, LRV, LVU, and LVM. Patients come to the department via the psychiatric emergency department, through planning with social services, or as self-referred through our detoxification department (TNE), which is operated in collaboration with the municipalities in the region. Admissions occur around the clock, and the average length of stay is three to five days. We work in multiprofessional teams with nurses, doctors, caregivers, psychiatric assistants, social workers, and discharge coordinators. The operation is continuously developing, and we place great importance on effective teamwork. We offer a well-thought-out introduction where you will get to know the operation, your colleagues, and our working methods. The goal is for you to feel safe and well-prepared in your new role.

Permanent weekend position - Nurse Specialist Psychiatric Department 4

Job Responsibilities

As a nurse in Department 4, you will have a leading role and be responsible for the psychiatric care of inpatients. The job responsibilities include:

. Assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.

. Medication management and sampling.

. Rounding with doctors.

. Support conversations and motivational talks with patients.

. Collaboration with healthcare providers, social services, police, and relatives.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed nurse. Desirable qualifications include:

. Specialist nurse training in psychiatry,

. Previous experience in addiction care, psychosis care, or neuropsychiatric care.
