Our Operations

The Academic Laboratory consists of 5 sections: Clinical Genetics, Clinical Chemistry and Pharmacology, Clinical Immunology and Transfusion Medicine, Clinical Microbiology, and Clinical Pathology. We have about 700 employees in a clinical operation that also includes teaching, research, and development work. Parts of the laboratory are located within the hospital area, while some operations are situated just outside and at the hospital in Enköping. The laboratory is accredited, and great emphasis is placed on quality work.

Your Assignment

You will work with common laboratory tasks in the respective departments.

Your Competence

We offer exciting tasks in a stimulating environment and are looking for someone who is curious and has a knack for learning. It is advantageous if you are a licensed biomedical analyst or a biomedical analyst student in semesters 4-6. However, other laboratory education may also be considered for employment. We wish for you to have a genuine interest in laboratory work. The job requires teamwork skills, great accuracy, and the ability to work in a structured and independent manner. Good language skills, both spoken and written in Swedish, are a requirement.

We Offer

We are looking for someone who wants to work as a substitute in one of our laboratories this summer. The substitutes usually vary between 8-10 weeks. Some substitutes start in early June and some around midsummer. It is important that you can work during July and in early/mid-August when we are most dependent on your contribution. Working hours may vary, and evening shifts may occur. We are also looking for substitutes for weekend and night work, so please clearly indicate if you are interested in this. Please also specify if there is any of our sections you are particularly interested in.
