Your daily life with us

As a maintenance mechanic at Umeå Dairy, you will work in a modern and unique production environment. You will be responsible for both preventive and emergency maintenance to ensure a smooth production process. Together with your colleagues, you will develop methods, systems, and working practices to maximize availability and quality in the production of our popular products.

Your daily tasks will include:

• supporting production and ensuring safe and continuous manufacturing
• initiating and implementing technical improvements to ensure stable production and minimize production losses
• performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of automatic machines, process equipment, valves, motors, pumps, and pneumatics

Maintenance is a crucial part of the continuous development of Norrmejerier's operations, and we actively participate in maintenance aspects in our technical projects. As a food producer, we also set high standards for quality and hygiene, which is a natural and important part of the job.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in technology and mechanics, as well as a good understanding of processes. You work systematically and structured and want to contribute to developing the work in the department by being solution-focused, meticulous, and responsible.

You will have many points of contact, so your social skills are important. You are attentive, collaborate well with others, and can communicate information clearly and understandably, both in writing and verbally, internally and externally.

To succeed in this role, we see that you have:

• high school education with a focus on technology, mechanics, processes, automation, control, and regulation technology or equivalent
• a couple of years of experience in manufacturing, process, or food industry
• driver's license B

It is an advantage if you have:

• documented knowledge in electrical, welding, or automation
• training in Hot Work and fall protection

About the employer - Norrmejerier

Norrmejerier Ek. Förening is the dairy of the northern Swedes and is owned by 329 local farmers, of which 259 are active milk suppliers in Norrbotten, Västerbotten, and parts of Västernorrland and Jämtland counties. We annually refine over 200 million kg of milk at our dairies in Umeå and Burträsk into various dairy products such as milk, filmjölk, cream, and cheese. Our product range includes the brands Norrmejerier®, Västerbottensost®, Verum®, Fjällfil®, Fjällyoghurt®, Norrgott®, and Norrlogisk®.
