Assignment Description:

We are looking for a Senior Package Development Engineer to join our dynamic team.

What you will work on:

  • Drive package development activities within cross-functional agile teams, ensuring strong technical competence in packaging
  • Translate stakeholder requirements into subsystem requirements related to package functionality and performance
  • Lead and execute risk assessments for package components and solutions
  • Define verification and validation strategies for the package area and ensure their execution
  • Develop test specifications, perform physical tests, analyze results and document conclusions in clear, structured reports
  • Provide data-driven recommendations and align them with relevant stakeholders
  • Coordinate and perform package-related activities in accordance with established procedures, standards and methods
  • Conduct root cause investigations to resolve issues related to package performance and functionality
  • Develop and implement new procedures, test methods and validation approaches as needed
  • Contribute to projects involving new packages, packaging materials and filling machine equipment

What you bring:

  • Experience from the packaging industry and strong understanding of packaging technologies
  • Academic degree in engineering, preferably a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Product Development or equivalent
  • Strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written, with the ability to collaborate and manage stakeholders effectively
  • Analytical, structured and process-oriented mindset with the ability to handle complexity and ambiguity
  • Knowledge of statistics; Minitab experience is an advantage
  • Hands-on experience and independence in physical testing activities
  • Understanding of the product development process, including risk assessment and requirements management
  • Familiarity with scrum and agile ways of working
  • Team-oriented, proactive and capable of driving activities independently
  • Experience with product development in the packaging area and knowledge of primary and secondary packaging test methods is considered a plus
